Progress on Pathogenic Mechanism of Mycoplasma bovis

2015
In recent years,Mycoplasma bovis has become one of the main pathogens causing bovine respiratory disease, poses a huge economic losses to cattle industry. This article reviewed the recent progress on pathogenic mechanism of Mycoplasma bovis in the domestic and overseas in order to provide a reference for prevention and control pneumonia disease caused by Mycoplasma bovis.Research on pathogenic mechanism of Mycoplasma bovis will provide theoretical basis for development of effective vaccine and new type of green drugs and other approaches of prevention and control, and then could effectively control the disease induced by Mycoplasma bovis in the clinic. This article summarized from following three aspects.Firstly, the role of Mycoplasma bovis adhesion protein on adhesion;Secondly, the injury to host cells by metabolites and the apoptosis mediated by related proteins;Thirdly, immunological pathogenic mechanisms including immunogenicity and immune evasion of adhesion protein, the immune response and inflammatory lesions of the host, the anti-inflammatory response and immunosuppression of the host.
