The major utility of ultrasound in the evaluation of soft-tissue trauma is in diagnosing disruption of tendons and muscles. Ultrasound is also valuable in detection of foreign bodies, post-traumatic pseudoaneurysms, meniscal tears, articular cartilage destruction, and epidermoid inclusion cysts
