Probiotics, according to conclusion of FAO/WHO joint commission, are «live micro-organisms which when administered in ade-quate amount confer a health benefit on the host» [1]. Commonly as probiotics are used the heterogeneous group of lactic acid bacteria, such as lactobacilli, enterococci and bifido-bacteria. Also, selected strains must survive in the extreme low pH of stomach and in the presence of bile salt which is to be encountered in the intestine.
