Study of multitask software kit of microprocessor-based protection devices for traction substation

Microprocessor-based protection devices are the important way to ensure the safety running of traction substation. This paper discusses the characteristics and functions of this software faced to integrated automation technology, and then using multitask and multithreading technology under win9X/NT operating system this software kit is realized. This software kit is used both to operate human-machine interface and also to test and simulate for protection devices.The running results indicate it helps engineer identify the fault devices,monitor running status, and shorten fault time. And the software is practical because interface is simple and easy to use.
