Isolation of Organelles

Algae organelles such as chloroplasts and thylakoid membranes are the basic materials for the study of physiological and biochemical reactions in photosynthesis. In this section, we briefly introduce the methods of separating the cytoplasmic membrane and thylakoid membrane from the prokaryotic cyanobacteria and the isolation of chloroplasts from the eukaryotic alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii.
