Provided is a power supplying apparatus for an electric vehicle, wherein an inverter for a compressor can be made to operate with high efficiency. The power supplying apparatus (10) for an electric vehicle comprises: a main circuit (13) further comprising a power supply (11), a DC-DC converter (18), and a main inverter (17) that drives a main motor (12); a sub-circuit (15) further comprising a sub-inverter (19) that drives a sub-motor (14), a first electrical path (23) that is connected to the main circuit (13) at the primary side of the DC-DC converter (18), a second electrical path (24) that is connected to the main circuit (13) at the secondary side of the DC-DC converter (18), and a connection circuit (30) configured such that either the first electrical path (23) or the second electrical path (24) can be selected as the path for supplying DC voltage to the sub-inverter (19); and a control apparatus (16) that controls the connection circuit (30), upon power running of the main motor (12), so as to switch between the first electrical path (23) and the second electrical path (24) according to the voltage required by the sub-inverter (19).
