Plicature of abdominoplasties with Marlex mesh.

We propose reinforcing the abdominal wall in abdominoplasties with a polypropylene mesh over three fusiform plications. A marked degree of musculoaponeurotic reinforcement is achieved and maintained postoperatively, especially if these layers are very flaccid.
