Method and apparatus for in situ fermentation coupling vapor permeable separation of volatile organic compounds

2014
The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for in situ fermentation coupling vapor permeable separation of volatile organic compounds. The method comprises extracting a carrier gas and carried in the carrier gas from the fermentor, volatile organic liquid mixture of components to be separated from the fermentation liquor is formed into the feed side of the steam permeable membrane by after vapor permeable membrane separating volatile organic components to be separated, the carrier gas retentate vapor permeable membrane retentate side to re-direct recycling back to the fermenter while the permeate side is concentrated in the vapor permeable membrane and The organics were separated volatile components to be collected. Advantage of the invention is that the separation of volatile components in situ, simple, efficient, pollution-free, while the carrier gas and condensed without preheating, and is capable of repeated use and to achieve efficient separation and energy savings.
