Negative priming that occurs in high frequency Chinese characters

2000
AIM To see if negative priming (NP) occurs in high frequency (grade 1) Chinese characters, and to design a model on which this may happen. METHODS Rapid display; identification of shape like Chinese characters; precuing. RESULTS The response time Chinese characters in ignored repeat group registered was significantly longer than that in control group. Paired t test P 0.006. CONCLUSION NP occurs in high frequency Chinese characters, and a Chinese character NP model has initially been established.
