Right ventricular end-diastolic stiffness heralds right ventricular failure in monocrotaline-induced pulmonary hypertension

2016
We demonstrate that right ventricular (RV) stiffness is an important contributor to RV failure in experimental pulmonary hypertension (PH) and extend our past observations on spectral transfer function (STF) gain between end-diastolic pressure and stroke volume with respiration to the RV. Low STF may determine RV stiffness in PH.
