The invention discloses a processing method for a leader sequence and a packet header of a data packet. The processing method comprises the following steps: replacing a scrambling pseudo random bit sequence of an SYNC field in the leader sequence with a fixed-mode bit sequence, and spreading spectrum with a Barker code; extending the length of the spreading code to spread spectrum of an SFD field in the leader sequence; and extending the length of the spreading code to spread spectrum of a header field. According to the processing method, the detection receiving performance of the leader sequence (including the SYNC field and the SFD field) and the PLCP header field can be improved obviously, a long-distance channel condition can be withstood better, and the stability of signal transmission is enhanced; and meanwhile, the realization is simple, that is, only the circuit of the conventional Wi-Fi equipment is required to be slightly modified.
