Clinical audit of negative pressure therapy
2013
: Negative pressure therapy is used to encourage the healing of a wound. In Bichart Hospital, in Paris, a clinical audit was carried out to assess how the therapy is managed. It emerged that the procedure is used in accordance with recommendations and that the information given to the patient is sufficient. However, nurses' professional knowledge must be consolidated and the traceability of the procedure in the patient's notes does not allow for optimal monitoring of the wound. Improvement actions are envisaged.
