Bone Changes in Hematologic Disorders (Roentgen Aspects): A Mount Sinai Hospital Monograph.

A variety of diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs are associated with characteristic changes in the bones. Minor changes, especially in the anemias and hemorrhagic diseases, are frequently overlooked by both radiologists and hematologists. Dr. Moseley has done a masterful job in bringing together the x-ray changes in the bones in the disorders of the blood. Six chapters, "The Anemias," "Classic Hemophilia and Christmas Disease," "Leukemia and Myelosclerosis," "Multiple Myeloma," "The Reticuloendothelioses," and "The Malignant Lymphomas," have appeared in a somewhat modified form in issues of the Journal of the Mount Sinai Hospital between 1960 and 1962. A chapter on "Osteopetrosis" and a concluding chapter of "Comments" have been added. The discussion of the anemias includes congenital aplastic anemia, iron deficiency anemia, erythroblastosis fetalis, hereditary spherocytosis, sickle cell disease, and the thalassemias.
