Research on active power regulation of hydropower unit monitoring system

At present, the monitoring system’s power closed-loop regulation is the main method of hydropower unit power regulation, and the simulation research on active power regulation of hydropower unit monitoring system is carried out. Meanwhile, the detailed active power regulation mathematical model including LCU, governor, water conveyance system and hydro turbine is established. By the measured results, the accuracy of the mathematical model is verified. Based on the simulation given in the paper, the influence of monitoring system and governor parameters on the transient process of active power regulation is analyzed. What’s more, the pulse width calculation parameter of the monitoring system ȕ mainly affects the adjustment process closing to the target value in the active power regulation. Also, the minimum pulse width Tkmin has no effect on the speed of active power regulation, but affecting the accuracy of regulation. The speed of guide vane opening regulation is determined by the parameter Tiy, which may lead to overshoot and even oscillation of active power and guide vane opening if the setting of the Tiy is too small.
