Multicast data forwarding method and multicast data forwarding device applied to multi-homing networking

The invention provides a multicast data forwarding method and a multicast data forwarding device applied to multi-homing networking. The method is applied to switching equipment in multi-homing networking, and includes the steps: monitoring neighbor relation messages used for establishing neighbor relation and sent by routers sharing the same network segment with the equipment; when the equipment receives the neighbor relation messages, identifying whether a campaign DR (designated router) priority value included in the neighbor relation messages is a set value or not, wherein the set value is used for indicating that the router sending the neighbor relation messages is a non-designated router; and when the campaign DR priority value included in the neighbor relation messages is not the set value, modifying the campaign DR priority value included in the neighbor relation messages to the set value, and forwarding the modified neighbor relation messages to other routers so as to trigger other routers to utilize the modified campaign DR priority value to elect the DR. By the method and the device, multiple routers can jointly bear multicast forward pressure to achieve load sharing of multicast traffic.
