Low power pluggable CFP form factor is proposed and experimentally demonstrated over 200 km of standard G.652 fiber. Optical duo-binary (ODB) modulation and distributed Raman amplification are used to achieve error-free, non-repeatered, 100 Gb/s transmission. By avoiding extensive signal processing system features very low latency.
