Structural Modulation of Internal Charge Transfer in Small Molecular Donors for Organic Solar Cells.

The covalent bridging of the cyanovinyl thiophene acceptor group by a phenyl ring allows the modulation of internal charge transfer and LUMO energy level of donor materials based on small donor-acceptor molecules.
