Dilatation in 1002 Cases of Postoperative Anastomotic Stenosis of Esophagocardial Carcinoma

1993
During the years from 1986 to 1990, 1002 patients with postoperative anastomotic stenosis of esophacardial carcinoma were treated in our hospital by applying our self-made dilator No. 1 combined with the Japanese savary dilator and two powders called open-diaphragm-pulvis-fluid and pass-switch-pulvis-fluid. The high effective rate (98%) allows nearly all patients who have undergone resection of esophagocardial carcinoma to avoid undergoing a second operation and, therefore, the danger of operative death is reduced, especially for invalids and the aged.
