Simulation of Permanent Magnet Motor Drives

The simulation of controlled drive systems is important in predicting their dynamic behaviour and performance, to aid design, and to attain a better understanding of the systems. Various modelling philosophies are described, and their utility demonstrated with reference to systems employing permanent magnet machines.
