Technique for preparing amorphous posaconazole

2014
A technique for preparing an amorphous posaconazole. Posaconazole is dissolved in a mixed solvent of an alcohol and an ester, is added to an alkane, a cycloalkane, or an arene, and undergoes precipitation so as to separate out jelly-like solids, that is, amorphous posaconazole; the mass/volume ratio between the posaconazole and the mixed solvent (g/mL) is 1:4 to 1:10; the volume ratio between the alcohol and the ester in the mixed solvent is 1:3 to 1:20; the volume ratio between the mixed solvent and alkane or between the mixed solvent and the arene is 1:1 to 1:4.
