This article discusses the use of distance learning technologies in the implementation of additional professional retraining programs teaching staff. Describes the changes in the Russian legislation in the field of organization and implementation of educational activities for additional professional programs. Particular attention is paid to the experience of implementation of distance learning stage in the implementation of additional education in The Chuvash I. Yakovlev State Pedagogical University. The article reveals the content of additional professional retraining programs “Pedagogy and Psychology of preschool education,” describes the features of the system of distance learning Moodle for students and teachers more professional program. The basic results of the experiment phase of implementation of distance in professional training for 2011–2014.
