Game fences: a general survey

1955
At the request of the Trustees of the National Parks Board of South Africa the authors prepared a review of possible game fences or game barriers. They were enjoined to apply this review with special reference to that portion of the western boundary of the Kruger National Park situated between the Sabie and Olifants rivers in the district of Pilgrims Rest. A review was made of the value of plants and shrubs as fences, of bush fences, wire fences, electrical fences and the settlement of native locations on the boundaries of game areas or reserves.
