The Classical case for monopoles

1991
A classical argument is given which suggests that free magnetic monopoles exist and, in fact, are quite common, and doubt is cast on Dirac's results on monopoles and especially on his formula for their magnetic charge. Also, a series of classical experiments aimed at their discovery is discussed.
