Visualização Computacional em Ambientes Educacionais: perspectivas, recursos e pontos de vista

This article shows the use of Computational Visualization in an attempt to obtain the affective state level of "interest" in Virtual Learning Environments. In this study, two children were submitted to a Learning Object (LO) and their reactions were captured and analyzed. This analysis aimed at obtaining patterns of viewable actions / reactions to indicate the affective state. FACS theory is used as initial theoretical lens, and later expanded to other gestures and postures. The final section of the article proposes a set of questions in pursuit of answers that may show the possibilities of this technology for education.  Key-words: Computational Visualization; FACS; Virtual Learning Environments; Learning Objects
