Abstract It has been demonstrated that mature granulocytes contain two stimulatory and three inhibitory factors of cell proliferation. Consequently, beyond the negative feedback inhibitor (chalone), myeloid cells are controlled presumably by other negative (inhibitory) and positive (stimulatory) mechanisms, in addition.
