Effect of ethanol extract of toad venom on the activity of Mg2+-ATPase and G-6-Pase in bearing-S180 tumors mice.

2009
Objective To observe the effect of ethanol extract of toad venom on the activity of Mg2+-ATPase and G-6-Pase in bearing-S180 tumors mice. Methods The models of bearing solid tumors were made by incubated S180 cell suspension to back. All 60 mice were distributed into 3 groups and injected 0.5mg/kg ethanol extract of toad venom or fluorouracil to abdominal cavity, respectively. The mice of normal control group were injected normal sodium to abdominal cavity. The inhibition rate of solid tumors in mice were calculated.Enzyme cytochemistry was used to detect the activity of Mg2+-ATPase and G-6-Pase in bearing-S180 tumors mice. Results The response granules of Mg2+-ATPase and G-6-Pase became smaller, the amount of the granules became fewer, the density was lower after the administration of ethanol extract of toad venom in bearing-S180 tumors mice. The inhibition rate of tumor were 35.6% and 36.9%(P0.05).Conclusion Ethanol extract of toad venom can inhibit tumor cells′ growth by decreasing the activity of Mg2+-ATPase and G-6-Pase.
