The invention relates to a television program recording method, device and system, and belongs to the field of a smart device. The method is applied to a router. The method comprises the steps of receiving a recording instruction, wherein the recording instruction at least comprises an appointed time period and an identifier of a television channel; and downloading video data currently played by the television channel in the appointed time period. According to the method, the device and the system, the video data played by the television channel is recorded by the router in the appointed time period; the video data recorded by the router can be watched anytime by a user; therefore, the problem that in the related technique, the television program watching mode is single is solved; and the user can watch a live broadcast program at convenient time without being limited by the playing time of the live broadcast program.
