Adverse drug reactions induced by β-lactam antibiotics:analysis of 619 cases

Objective:To comprehend the reality and affecting factors of adverse drug reactions (ADR) induced by β-lactam antibiotics in Huai'an city,in order to promote the proper use of drug in clinic.Methods:We collected 619 cases of ADR induced by β-lactam antibiotics and analyzed them with the aspects of patient's age and gender,adminstration route,species of drugs and clinical manifestation.Results:The ADR were caused by a total of 33 species of β-lactam antibiotics agents,among which amoxicillin ranked the first and was followed by penicillin sodium.The most causing route was intravenous administration;the damage of skin and its annex were the most common clinical manifestations.Conclusions:The clinical application of β-lactam antibiotics of should be regulated to avoid or reduce the occurrence of ADR.
