Analysis of case of malaria from 2006 to 2010.

Medical records of malaria diagnosed and treated at this hospital from June 2006 to June 2010 were reviewed retrospectively.Of 37 patients with malaria,10 had Vivax malaria and 27 had Falciparum malaria;31 had imported malaria and 6 had a domestic infection.Patients had an obvious history of living in malaria-endemic areas.Most patients had irregular fevers and did not have typical clinical symptoms.Standard treatment with artemisinin drugs was first chosen to treat patients with Falciparum malaria and treatment with chloroquine and primaquine for 8 days was first chosen to treat patients with Vivax malaria;at the same time,symptomatic treatment was provided in the form of drugs to fight inflammation and protect the liver.Results indicated that the 37 patients with malaria were cured and that no deaths occurred.
