The title compound is a new Cu(I)-thiourea complex containing binuclear cyclic cations (Cu2tu6)2+ wich, contrary to other similar knew compounds, exhibits a non-centrosymmetrical configuration. Crystal data are as follow: orthorhombic, Pbca, a = 19.251(7), b = 12.309(2), c = 21.484(5)A, Dx = 1.82 Mg m−3 for Z = 8.
