Synthesis and Characterization of A Coordination Polymer [Cu(OPT)_2]_n

2015
Hydrothermal reaction of Cu(Ⅱ) salts and 3-(3-oxyphenyl)-5-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole in the Neutral aqueous solution yielded a novel metal-organic coordination polymer formulated as [Cu(OPT)2]n(1), which was characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction, elemental analyses, IR spectra and thermogravimetric analysis. The study showed that complexe 1 was monoclinic crystal system and P21/n space group, and 4-coordinated cupric ion was surrounded by a nitrogen atom of triazole, and a nitrogen atom of pyridyl provided by two OPT, respectively, forming a parallelogram coordination geometry. Furthermore, the system contained a intramolecular three-center hydrogen bonding, while the 3D supramolecular structure of complexe(1) was constructed by intermolecular H-bonding.
