Verankerte Dichtung für Stahlbetontubings

Elastomeric gaskets for steel reinforced concrete tunnel segments make single shell construction tunnels in TBM (tunnel driving machine) technology watertight. A joint research project of the companies Hochtief, Phoenix AG and Herren-knecht AG was started to develop a special seal and a shuttering technique in order to integrate the gaskets with the concrete segments as part of the manufacturing process of the segment. Special fixing elements were added to the geometry of the cross section of the extruded semifinished product. Special test procedures and actual construction site tests were performed with the integrated tunnel segment gasket to verify its performance.
