General synthesis of .beta.,.gamma.-alkynylglycine derivatives

The coupling of α-haloglycinates 8 with alkynyltin reagents produces the fully protected β,γt-akynylglycines 9. Subsequent deprotection of the amino or carboxyl groups generates differentially protected β,γ-alkynylglycine derivatives 10-14.
