Dynamic simulation of transform relationship of nutrients in sediments and water in Zhushan Bay of Lake Tai

2012
This research took the typical Shallow Lake Tai as an object and the sediment core samples were obtained from the Zhushan Bay. The experiment used the indoor simulation of wind-wave disturbance by using a sediment resuspension simulator, when shear stress was between 0.01 and 0.53N/ m 2 and the oscillation duration varied between 60 and 1800 s. The experiment revealed the release characteristics of nutrients - nitrogen in the sediment resuspension process and laid a theoretical foundation for the research on the interaction of pollutants, sediments and suspended particulate matter. The sediment concentration under each stress level was positively correlated with median diameter, water content, void ratio and specific gravity and negatively correlated with saturated density and specific weight. The content of suspended particulate matter (SPM) in overlying water rose exponentially with the increase of shear stress. The content of suspended solids in overlying water had a great influence on the insoluble results of each experimental index. The suspended solid concentration increased exponentially with the shear stress rising, the contents of the other indexes increased accordingly. The influence on the soluble indexes was not significant. The soluble indexes were little related to the shear stress.
