Structural and dielectric properties of copper ferrite/LDPE composite

2021
Abstract This paper reports the structural and dielectric properties of Copper ferrite/Low-density polyethylene CuFe2O4/LDPE composite. The sample was synthesized and sintered at 800° C for 5 h and characterization of the sample was carried by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-ray spectrum (EDAX). The result pattern of the sample confirms the formation of tetragonal structure from XRD, and the average crystallite size was calculated using Debye Scherer’s formula. The average size of particles was estimated of 101 nm. The SEM analysis shows the clear visibility of pure particle formation with regular shape. The catalogue of EDAX verifies the existence of homogeneous mixing of Cu, Fe, and O. The dielectric measurements were carried out using LCR meter in the range from 40 Hz to 8 MHz. The dielectric value attains a maximum value of 4.35 and decreases with an increase in the frequency.
