A composition comprising: a continuous matrix formed by a crosslinked polypeptide with a second polymer comprising a polysaccharide; and particles of a porous, osteoconductive dispersed in the continuous matrix; in which the pores of the osteoconductive material are adsorbed on the same polypeptide.
