Hubungan Total Lemak Tubuh dengan Kadar Trigliserida Anak Obesitas SMP Negeri di Purwokerto

Obesity has become a global epidemic and a major health problem that need to be salved immediated. Obesity can be neasured by Body Mass Index (BMI) while Deurenberg formulation can be used to predic body total fat based on BMI in children. Childhood obesity can cuased some serious problems such as psychosocial, hormonal and metabolism diseases including dysilipidemia which is characterized by elevating triglycerides level. The research’s aim is to know the correlation of body total fat and triglycerides level upan obese children in State Junior High School of Purwokerto Cross sectional in this research method upon 60 obese children in Januari 2011. The independent variable is total body fat and the dependent variable is triglycerides level. Bivariate analysis by pearson correlation test showed that there was no statistical correlation between total body fat and triglycerides level with p=0.762, r=0.40. Calculasian: There was no correlation between total body fat and triglycerides level upon obese children in junior high school Purwokerto
