Communication over the wireless network management

2011
Wireless networks such as LTE (Long Term Evolution) network, may be configured to monitor the communication interface to set an inactivity timer, the timer is not active and thus setting the operation mode of the communication interface. Operation mode may include a wireless device receiving a time domain pattern. The wireless device may include at least a first logical channel monitor (e.g., for a first application) and a second logical channel (e.g., for a second application) communication interface. Based on monitoring the communications interface, it may be determined first active state of the first logical channel. Further, based on monitoring the communications interface, it may determine a second active state of the second logical channel (e.g., active state). It may be based on the first and second active state inactivity timer is set to a first value or a second value of the communication interface. By using a wireless device in response to a mode to set an inactivity timer, saves battery life of wireless devices.
