DESARROLLO DE UN PROTOTIPO PARA EL CONTROL DE PLAZAS VEHICULARES PARA LA ZONA AZUL DEL SECTOR DE LA MARISCAL EN LA CIUDAD DE QUITO

This document details the design and construction of a prototype for the control of
available spaces in the Zona Azul of La Mariscal. The prototype consists mainly of a control
totem with microprocessed system, The control module is constituted by an Arduino card that
is in charge of making the communication between the parking meter and the server to this
also connects with several input devices, output.
As input devices we have HC-SR04 ultrasonic proximity sensors that will validate the
parking status, in addition there is a selection button and an electronic purse. The output
devices are a GLCD screen and RGB Led lights, while in the communications part a SIM900
module compatible with Arduino is used.
The prototype is able to interact and control 4 parking spaces, to charge for the use of
parking lots. For each event of use of a parking lot, the prototype interacts with the client
showing different actions as on the screen indicate for example the time of arrival and the time
the vehicle has to remain parked and the RGB Led lights change of tonality according to to
those events.
The SIM900 module allows the communication of the prototype with the server to perform
the remote monitoring of the parking lots, as well as to keep a record that allows to exercise a
more solid control in the use of the parking meters. Keywords
