International Technical Exchange on 2D Atomic Sheets: Optoelectronics, Strain, and Energy Applications

Abstract : The 2D technical exchange was well attended with leading researchers from across the world providing progress updates and perspectives on 2D materials for defense science and technology. There were more than 100 participants, 23 invited talks, and more than 10 poster sessions. A consensus conclusion from the meeting is that 2D materials have a wide potential to fulfill army needs in the long-term. In the short-term, much progress is needed in scalable material synthesis. Overcoming this challenge will pave the way for practical applications.
