Complications in Tumour Orthopaedics
2021
The majority of patients with osteosarcomas can nowadays undergo limb-preserving surgery. In most cases, patients fortunately also survive the cancer, and high standards therefore have to be met in each reconstruction procedure—usually involving a tumour prosthesis or biological reconstruction. Despite this, complications are still possible; their incidence and diagnosis, as well as treatment options for them, are discussed in this chapter.
