The invention discloses a device and a method for testing thee fastening pressure of a shape memory alloy pipe joint. Two strain gauges are symmetrically adhered to the inner wall of a connected pipe and are connected with a dynamic strain tester. Four steel wire ropes penetrate through a groove of a loading block and fixed pulleys respectively, and weights are loaded at the tail ends of the steel wire ropes. Different pressures pi can be applied to the outer wall of the connected pipe by changing the weight of the loaded weights, and the strains epsilon i which are generated by the strain gauges adhered to the inner wall of the connected pipe under the action of the different pressures are tested through the dynamic strain tester, so that a curve of a calibration relation between the pressure p of the outer wall of the connected pipe and the strain epsilon of the inner wall is obtained. According to the calibration relation, the fastening pressure applied to the connected pipe by the shape memory alloy pipe joint in a heating recovery process can be conveniently tested.
