A Review: On Chemistry Important of Schiff's Bases Complexes

2017
Generally, The Schiff base compounds often are bi-or tridentate ligands capable of forming very stable metal complexes with and non-transition metals transition metals. In coordination chemistry, Schiff base compounds find a versatile use. these compounds considered as a class of organic compounds, this kind of the compounds contains a group known as azomethine (imine) of the formula ( R-C=N), where, R represents alkyl or aryl group, this group formed from the reaction of carbonyl group (C=O) of the aldehydes or ketons with primary amine(-NH2) or amino acids in the presence of acids or bases in organic solvents such methanol or ethanol, where the oxygen atom of the carbonyl group and hydrogen atoms of the amine react together to produce water and the rest product named a Schiff base.
