Comprehensive Activation Experiment with 14-MeV Neutrons Covering Most of Naturally Existing Elements — 5 Minutes Irradiation Experiment —
2002
A comprehensive activation experiment with 14-MeV neutrons was conducted. Sample materials for most of naturally existing elements were irradiated for 5 minutes, and decay heat was measured in a period of cooling time from 1 to 60 minutes. By using the experimental data, validity of two activation cross section files and two decay data files was investigated. As a result, most of calculated results agreed within ±30 % with the experimental data. Nevertheless, one problem in FENDL/D-2.0, one problem in JENDL FP Decay Data File, fourteen problems in FENDL/A-2.0 and six problems in JENDL Activation Data File 96 were pointed out.
