Study of Quality Control Circles in Reducing Children Outpatient Infusion Rate

OBJECTIVE To explore the effect of quality control circles( QCC) in reducing child outpatient infusion rate.METHODS after a QCC team establishment,the specific approach will be formulated to lower the infusion rate in children of the outpatients; The rates before and after QCC were compared. RESULTS By improving the form and content of health education and increasing the children’s medicine varieties,the infusion rate( 46.13%),the usage rate of antibacterial agent for intravenous infusion( 37.02%),the average cost of drug use per patient( 91.3 yuan),the cases of adverse reactions of intravenous infusion( 23.75 cases),the number of complaints of pediatric outpatient and emergency department( 40.25 cases) decreased to 27.23%,25.38%,72.25 yuan,14.75 cases,25.25 cases,respectively. CONCLUSION QCC is a good method to strengthen the drug management in the hospital.
