Preparation of RbC60by coevaporation

RbC 60 crystals were prepared directly from the vapor phase by coevaporation in closed evacuated glass tubes with separated source materials using the horizontal five temperature zone furnace. Prepared crystals were characterized by Raman, micro Raman spectroscopy, and optical microscopy. Under certain conditions of growth a considerable concentration of Rb 1 C 60 single crystals were detected. The typical crystal size of Rb 1 C 60 was 10 μm.
