Toward Circular Food and Agricultural Systems

Abstract. A simple description of a circular economy is an economic system that uses resources sparingly and recycles materials endlessly so that resources are not trapped in landfills and create environmental problems. Three principles for circular economies have been proposed: 1. Design out waste and pollution. 2. Keep products and materials in use. 3. Regenerate natural systems.
