The invention discloses a standby method based on a non-embedded controller Godson processor platform. The standby method comprises the steps of: performing a freezing progress; stopping the operation of the external device; powering off the power supply of the external device; closing a secondary core; storing a master core and executing the context; executing the operation by the master core to enter a standby state by setting a core group to access ACPI S3; clearing ACPI events and recovering the state of the indicator lamp of the power supply; recovering the master core and executing the context; starting up the secondary core; powering on the power supply of the external device; starting the operation of the external device; recovering the progress. The standby method can be applied to a desktop or a server platform without EC, does not need to depend on the EC, can reduce the design complexity and reduce the cost, so that the standby method can be more widely applied.
