Medium for recording video and audio signals and means for making recordings on said support

1978
The recording medium of video and audio signals. This support has a planar surface in which are formed recesses (first signal), under the action of beams modulated in intensity, these recesses forming adjacent tracks of a first track. A second series of recesses (second signal) is carried out in an analogous manner in the vicinity of previous to record tracking control pilot signals. The L1 level of the first signal must exceed that of the second signal of a given measure (e.g., 10 dB). The invention improves the quality of images and sounds reproduced, eg video and audio signals for television, as it eliminates the distortion interference due to input-output nonlinear characteristics and cross modulation of said signals.
