Computing Device Applications of Group IV Nanoparticle Spectroscopy

Abstract : This project intended to study the spectroscopy of colloidal silicon nanoparticles. The investigation assumed various aspects: nanoparticle fabrication; nanoparticle filtration; sample preparation and characterization techniques; laser maintenance; spectroscopy; and theory. Because the available dye laser could not be stabilized for scanning, the anticipate spectroscopy was never performed. Techniques pursued and lessons learned are described.
